President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially appointed Professor Segun Aina, a 39-year-old academic, as the new Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
This appointment marks a significant moment in Nigeria’s education sector, as Aina becomes the youngest Registrar in JAMB’s history. He will take over from Professor Is-haq Oloyede, whose second term is set to conclude on July 31, 2026.

The presidency expressed confidence that Professor Aina will leverage his vast experience in technology, policy, and institutional reform to improve JAMB’s operations and surpass previous achievements.
