This renewed phase of the NJFP provides participants with a monthly stipend of ₦150,000, helping to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world professional experience.
Eligibility Criteria
According to the programme guidelines, interested applicants must:
- Be 30 years old or younger
- Have graduated no earlier than 2022
- Hold a minimum of a BSc (Second Class Lower, 2.2) or HND (Lower Credit, 3.0 CGPA)
- Have completed the NYSC programme or obtained an exemption certificate

Both prospective fellows and host organizations are required to register on the platform, complete the online form, and ensure all eligibility and documentation requirements are met for successful registration.
Government’s Commitment to Youth Empowerment
Vice President Kashim Shettima, while inaugurating the NJFP 2.0 Project Steering Committee at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, emphasized that the programme represents a renewed national effort to connect learning with earning.
He described the initiative as a strategic move to convert Nigeria’s demographic advantage into economic strength, assuring that transparency, inclusivity, and accountability will guide its implementation.
“We have an opportunity here to demonstrate what partnership done right can achieve,” Shettima said, noting that the NJFP 2.0 will prioritize impact-driven results that improve lives rather than just numbers.
Creating Jobs for the Future
The NJFP 2.0 targets the creation of at least 20,000 jobs annually, focusing on Nigeria’s strategic growth sectors, including:
