Dear parents, please pay close attention to where your teenagers go, who they communicate with and who they meet online. What is happening to young people in some parts of Delta State is deeply concerning.

A 16-year-old girl identified as Precious reportedly went to a hotel in Ughelli after communicating with a male friend who directed her there over the phone.

However, upon arrival, she allegedly discovered that the boy was not at the location. Instead, she reportedly met three other boys whom she did not know.

According to reports, Precious was allegedly se3ually ass@uted  by two of the boys, while the incident was reportedly recorded on video. The recording allegedly showed the perpetrat0rs mocking and humiliating her.

Disturbingly, reports indicate that both the victim and the boys involved are under 18 years old.

One of the boys has reportedly been arrested as authorities investigate the incident.

Parents and guardians, please talk to your children. Teach them about online safety, meeting people they know only through social media or phone calls, and the importance of seeking help when they feel unsafe.

This is heartbreaking. A child should never have to experience this. 💔😔
