Police Recruitment 2026: Written Examination Dates Announced
The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has officially announced the dates for the 2026 police recruitment written examination.
According to a press release issued on April 23, 2026, the examination is scheduled to take place from April 28 to April 30, 2026, across designated centres in all 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory.
Who Is Eligible?
Only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening stage are eligible to participate in the written examination.

Starting from Friday, April 24, 2026, candidates should log in to print their Examination Invitation Card, which will contain details such as:
- Exam date
- Time
- Venue
Required Items for the Examination
Candidates must come to the exam centre with the following items:
- A pen
- National Identification Number (NIN) slip from National Identity Management Commission (with a clear photograph)
- Printed Examination Invitation Card
- Dress code: White shorts, white T-shirt, and white canvas shoes
PSC Issues Strong Warning Against Scams
The Commission emphasized that the entire recruitment process is completely FREE.
Applicants are strongly advised to avoid:
- Job racketeering
- Fraudulent agents
- Any form of financial inducement
The PSC warned that anyone involved in such illegal activities will face the full force of the law.
