The Dangote Group has announced the installation of surveillance cameras on its fleet of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trucks as part of efforts to improve safety and accountability in its operations.
The company said the move was aimed at monitoring driving behaviour, preventing accidents, and ensuring strict compliance with safety standards.
In addition, all Dangote truck drivers are undergoing a fresh round of recertification, a measure the firm described as necessary to guarantee professionalism and reduce the risks associated with haulage operations across the country.
The new policy comes amid rising concerns over road safety and the conduct of heavy-duty truck drivers on Nigerian highways.
